2019 : C’River Youths Drums Support for Dakwambo

Cross River-based Socio-Political group, The Youth Volunteers Elite, has called on Nigerians to vote enmass for Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, as president, saying the performance of the Governor within three years in office has stood him out as the best man to occupy Aso Rock in 2019.

While calling  on Alhaji Dankwambo to take part in the forthcoming elections, Comrade Okon Effiong, the National Coordinator of the group described the Governor as the solution to the current economy crisis in the country.

His words: “President Buhari told us we are out of recessions but a lot of our people are still eating from hand to mouth. We have to revive our economy and our government. Alhaji Dankwambo is the only economy Doctor who can heal us because of his sound financial management background. Our elders had held us down for decades now and nothing good seems to be coming in any foreseeable future.

“We the youths have given them all the chances but they have failed because they lack modern ideas to pilot the affairs of the country. They cannot give what they do not have. This is the reason Nigerians are suffering. We need a youthful president and that man is Dankwambo. As a Governor, he has change the face of Gombe state.

“We call on the youths never to let our elders mislead them. Go get your voters card because we are determined to use our cards to make a difference. We also appeal to PDP governor’s forum and leaders to put sentiment aside and support Gov. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo because he has what it takes to bring down APC in 2019”.

He said, “As the then account-general of the federation, he introduced the integrated payroll personnel information system (IPPIS) for central payment of salaries of staff in all the ministries, departments and agencies using an automated system to checkmate fraud. He was also part of the revolution in the public sector that brought E-payment system which abolished the use of cheques in the government businesses at the Federal level.”
